All dolphins,
porpoises, and whales are grouped together in the scientific order Cecacea. There are about 80 living marine mammals in this group which includes
the toothed whales (killer whales such as orcas)
and the baleen whales (blue whales, humpback whales, gray whales, and
right whales).

Baleen whales are some of the largest animals in the world but they
eat some of the world’s smallest creatures. They do not have teeth but
rather
baleen
in their mouths. This is why these mammals are called baleen whales. The
baleen acts as a strainer. Baleen
whales open their mouth and take in a large mouthful of water. The water
contains large amount of of krill and small fish. The Baleen Whale
uses its tongue to push the water out of its mouth through the baleen. The
whale's food is trapped in the baleen. Some baleen whales have folds under
their chin. The folds allow these whales get food from huge mouthfuls of
water.
