Our class is doing something about
Providence. I am doing my report on Roger Williams. My teacher's name is Ms
Sullivan and I go to M.L. King Elementary School. |
Roger Williams was the man who named
Providence. The Indians were his friends and I will tell you the story of
Roger Williams. |
Roger Williams was a nice man. He
went to the court and told the people that they did not have the right to
take the Indian's place and make our houses. Roger Williams said everyone
can have their own religion then everyone left the building. |
Roger Williams got a note and it said
that someone was coming to get him. He walked and walked for a very long
time. It was cold and he slept under the trees. A Indian found him and
welcomed him to their place and that was the place he called Providence. |
