My Neighborhood
There are many neighborhoods in America. I live in the neighborhood called Mount Hope. It is in Providence, Rhode Island. I have lived here all my life. My street is in the middle of the neighborhood. My neighborhood is on a small section of the East Side of Providence. Mount Hope is in between Hope Street to the north, North Main Street to the south, Rochambeau Avenue to the east, and Olney Street to the west.
There are two Baptist churches I know of in my neighborhood. They are Olney Street Baptist Church and Bethal Ame Baptist Church on a Avenue. My great, great grandmother was a member at a small Bethal Baptist Church. My great grandmother and great aunt are members at Olney Street. My mom and dad got married there.

There is a shopping plaza on North Main Street called University Heights shopping plaza. There are a McDonalds, Strawberries Music Store, Staples Supplies, Boston Market, a market, and a bank. That is a busy parking lot. There is a Shell Gas Station at the bottom of Pleasant Street on North Main Street.
There is a big park with basketball hoops and a slide and stuff on Camp Street. It is called the Billy Taylor Park. There is a store across the street that everyone calls "the store". Next to the store there is a new police station and around the corner is the Mount Hope Learning Center. Kids go there to do homework. They have computers. At the bottom of the street is K.F.C. Kentucky Fried Chicken.

All my friends, my aunt, uncles, and grandparents live in Mount Hope. The Mount Hope Neighborhood is a wonderful place to live in and to raise a family.
